Janie Lula Watkins, Born December 19, 1938 and went home to rest on January 5, 2020. Janie was born in Great Falls South Carolina and attended DC public schools - Francis high school. She entered eternal rest on Saturday January 5, 2020 after a lengthy illness.
Janie was employed as a food services employee at Sibley Memorial Hospital and later on in life as a private housekeeper.
Janie was born to James Roy Dinkinss (father) and Lillian Dinkins (mother). Her brother James Roy Dinkins, jr (Deceased) Mattie Cowling and Colin Whitaker. Her parents and brother James Roy Dinkins Jr., preceded her in death Janie leaves to mourn Sharon Jackson (daughter) Wendy Watkins (daughter) and Renita Lattimore (daughter), Moses Kenneth Haughton Jr, Chynne Haughton and Joshua Davis. She also left to mourn her immediate great grandchildren which played an Integrall part of her life. Tavon Hunt, Morgan Davis, Tavon fight for again why and London right. She also leaves to mourn a host of nieces and nephews
Janie was very well loved by all who met her. When she did meet people, they will often comment on how pleasant and sincere she was. She would place others needs before herself. She was the best mother. Yes excellent! The strength that she showed while raising her children is incomparable. Understand her motto was “do the best that you can“. Janie did not often get a chance to travel but when she did she went all the way out. Traveling with her grandson Moses Kenneth Haughton jr from Baltimore Maryland.
