Woke this morning remembering how Daddy and I would get up early to go see my oldest niece at first then her brother and my other niece and nephew (yes we made our rounds) on Christmas mornings. We were so excited to see their excitement.  I had 61 years (just two months shy of 62 years) of Christmas’ with Daddy and have wonderful memories. I am forever grateful and thankful for having Aubrey Thomas Jr. for a father and grandfather and great grandfather to my children and grandchildren. 

To my brother ,you were my hero. You was always there in my time of need,a person I could talk to, a person with good understanding and could put you back on the right track. You cared about family first
 You alway carried a smile ,always had a joke or to to remove any sadness from me. I love you deeply my brother, you gave me so much love and joy in my life. I will miss you deeply, may you look down on us and ask JESUS CHRIST to shower us ,with his mercy. You was a big brother, my hero, my friend, you have gone but will never be forgotten, love you, your loving sister, Barbara ( Barb) Thomas-Lewis

Pops, June, Mr. Thomas. To me, June was the coolest, and a great example of what a man and father should be. He was a man of few words, but you knew how he felt about you (good or bad). He didn’t just cut his grass, he took care of all of ours. He’s the only person to paint a portrait of me. My grandparents loved it so much they hung it in their house. He taught me about photography, making and building things, the internet, vitamins and herbal supplements, family trees and genealogy; things I love and use to this day. Thanks to the Thomas family for sharing him with the rest of the kids on the block. I’m so glad we got together to celebrate his 90th birthday last year. Rest easy Pops. Thanks for everything. I love you.

When I was a youngster/neighbor—June and Vera opened their home to me. I was loved, fed, befriended, and given an education on so many things. I spent many days/evenings visiting them. June left a legacy : he taught me how to bake a cake, how to grow a tomato, how to fix my bike, how to draw a simple picture… but most importantly how to laugh.. he became my brother in the faith, I long to see him again in the Paradise to come. 



Pop I'm going to miss your big smile and  deep voice. When I think of you I think about all of your beautiful artwork. You were a good man, excellent husband and a wonderful dad. All of the grands and great grands will truly miss you pop. Rest in peace and may God bless your soul. Love you much Pig and the Farrington family. God bless 

Thank you.  So many  family events joyous and  happy times I have attended. Surprisingly  have known you thirty+  years, half of my life, no mistake, matrimony on my day, wow, such a beautiful family, distinguished, handsome Pop, grandfather, great grand father, husband, brother, Uncle and friend,  Pleasantly always and  artistically talented, love his art work. Could not have been placed in the path of a more wonderful and loving family and a beautiful couple. The sun came up a breath of fresh air embraced my face . A thought danced in my head of lifeas I knew would vanish soon and a life thatwas once already come true . I smile at all that was . My heart beats with a gentle beat cause at that moment all is at peace cause I'm in that place where all is not as it is . That place that I only wish exists . I go back and remember all the laughter and joy was it real or has it all faded away as I may as well. Only my hope and those wonderful dreams areall I have . To hold so gripfully to asthetears run down my cheek cause real has entered and untili get back to that beautiful place I must hope and hold on . For one day maybe one day this will come true


I have so many fond memories of Aubrey; I worked with him at the Ft Belvoir proving grounds.  He always made me smile and laugh, he’s was always happy, he was kind and loved his children and his beautiful wife.  He was a fantastic artist and a wonderful human.  I wish everyone could have his sense of humor and outlook on life.  He will always be in my heart.  God Bless his family and bring them peace .

Dear Thomas Family,
Aatia, Randy and I send our love to you in this time of sadness and loss. Pops and Ms. Vera accepted us into their home and hearts everytime we were visiting Joyce and Kevin. He was such a light hearted and fun guy who we were always glad to see. So much time has passed and we hadn't been to the house since 2014, but your parents have always been in our thoughts and prayers. May the lifetime memories keep your heart strong. Blessings to each of you and thank you for sharing him with us.

To my Special friend and family, I was sadden to hear the news of June’s passing.  Such a kind pleasant person.  He accepted me day one and anything I needed, he a Vera were always there for me.  It so great to know individuals that accept you where you are.  Thank God for putting them in my life.  Remember that I love you and am here for you at this time of sadness.
