Johnny was almost predictably, a rebel from the beginning. He stood strong for his beliefs, popular or not. Do not attempt to bend his will. He loved his family and tirelessly cared for his wife until the strength was not there. His laughter was remarkable. If you entered a gathering not knowing Johnny, you would know the man by his laughter by days end, if not learn to admire him personally in short time. Personally, at a young age, I adopted him as my grade-school defender. A description of his height to my peers, kept me out of trouble more than once. I was so proud of him serving in the Navy and the Vietnam war, though that time in his life was probably not his favorite. His determination for causes led him to leadership in a truckers union. Johnny, I wish we stayed closer late in life, and for that lapse of mine, you have hopefully changed me into a man that proactively keeps family and friends closer. We love you very much, admire your intelligence, and self-confidence. Thank you,  Forever, Guy and Patsy

I pray Aunt Wilma finds comfort in knowing that she is loved by family and friends as we mourn with her in the passing of her beloved husband and my uncle John. 

John was a great friend and neighbor to us the talks we had I will never forget he will truly be missed.
