Frank Pacheco; Loving father, brother, uncle, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Jan 6, 2014 in Brentwood CA. He was 96.
He is predeceased by his loving wife, Lori; brothers Al, Manuel, Billy, Tony, and George Pacheco and Sisters Mary, Minnie, and Sylvia. He is survived by his daughters Janice (Ken) Jones of San Ramon, Nancy (Sam) Boggs of Stockton; grand children, Corinne (Josh) King of Stockton, Megan (Paul) Carter of San Ramon, Logan (Stephanie) Boggs of Stockton and Ryan Jones of San Ramon. He has 6 great –grandchildren; Mia and Alyssa Carter, Justin and Jeremy King, and Tegan and Bailey Boggs. His is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and his sister, Ilene (Sonny) Botelho.
Frank was raised in Oakland, Ca. He served in the Army Air Corps in WWII as an airplane mechanic stationed in the South Pacific. After the war he played baseball for the San Diego Padres (‘46-’47). His primary working experience was with Lucky Stores as a truck driver.
After his retirement Frank and Lori lived in Hayward and their beloved Lake Almanor. In the middle ‘90’s they moved to Brentwood where they had many friends. He has been active in playing golf, pinochle, bowling, Bingo, bocce ball and attending other events with friends.
He will be remembered for his great love of his family and friends and for his kindness to everyone.
A Memorial Service will be held 1:00pm Thursday, January 16, 2014 at the Delta Community Presbyterian Church on 1900 Willow Lake Rd, Discovery Bay, CA. Contributions can be made to your favorite charity.
