Bonnie Jean Greenslade

Bonnie was born on July 26, 1940 to Vonda Wing (Smith) and Ralph Wing of Springville, Utah. She was born with a caring soul that she shared with the world, a deep love of animals and an unwavering loyalty to her family and friends. Bonnie enjoyed gardening, watching Disney movies and being in nature. She was ready for adventure and loved car rides that went nowhere and getting lost in the beauty of Yosemite’s rolling hills.

Bonnie was a devoted educator for Livermore Valley Joint Unified School District for over 30 years. As a special education teacher she got to know her students as individuals and focused on their unique learning needs. She was an inspiration to her students, refusing to give up on them no matter the struggle.

These words cannot possibly sum up the life of such a beautiful person, but it is a glimpse of knowing her and her infectious chuckle that is forever imprinted on our hearts. She is survived by nieces and nephews Ralph and Beckie Carter, Marlene and Mike Gomez, Cory Carter and cherished cat Sally. She is preceded in death by husband John F Greenslade, son Robert John Greenslade and daughter Marie Greenslade, brothers Ray and Bryce Wing and sister Janis Carter (Wing) whom she is now reunited with.

A private celebration of life event for Bonnie and daughter Marie will be held on Tuesday, March 28, 2023 at 1pm at Dignity Memorial in care of Brentwood Funeral Home, 839 First Street, Brentwood CA 94513
