Susan (Sue) Lee Baker was born in Idaho Falls, Idaho, March 18, 1958. To Willard (Bill) Lee Clark and Roxanne (Sue) Ballenger. She was one of 5 children, Charles Clark, Richard Clark, Amanda Jeffs, Aric Jeffs.
Susan was preceded in death by her parents, Willard (Bill) Clark, Roxanne Jeffs, and Blair Jeffs, her brother Charles Clark, her grandparents Kenneth Ballenger, and Hazel Ballenger.
Susan graduated from Thornton High School, Colorado in 1976. After graduating, Susan moved onto business school, then married her first husband. Together they had three children, Bradley, Sarah, and Christopher.
In 1991 Susan moved to Port Orchard, Washington where she raised her three children on her own for 9 years. Susan worked in various trades to provide the best life she could for her children. She met her current husband, David (Dave) and stepson Michael (Mike) in 1999. They married on July 15, 2000, at Manchester State Park in Port Orchard, WA. Dave and Sue were blessed with 24 beautiful years of marriage.
In 2014, Sue and Dave opened a Juice bar and sandwich shop in downtown Port Orchard, called Sue’s Fresh Juice & Sandwich shop. Together, they ran the shop for over 10 years, until Sue was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia in January 2018.
After 182 days in the hospital, 39 rounds of chemo, whole body radiation, and a stem cell transplant, Susan was diagnosed cancer free (in remission) this didn’t go without several health complications left over because of the cancer treatment. Through each battle Susan came out a warrior with David faithfully by her side.
Susan was a woman of Christ; she loved to read her bible and attend church at Newlife South. She loved spending time with her best friend Louise, and the Praying Chicks.
Susan had eight beautiful grandchildren: Sandra, Michael, Roxanne, William, Wyatt, Decan, Boone, and Elizabeth (Ellie). Spending time with her children and grandchildren brought her the most joy. Whenever Sue talked about her grandbabies her face would light up. She loved going out to lunch or adventures with her husband, children and grandchildren.
Susan is survived by her loving husband, David Baker, children, Michael and Krystal Baker, Bradley and Anna Jordan, Christopher and his wife Rachel Bowers, Sarah and Tristan Watkins. Susan is also survived by her brothers, Richard Clark and Aric Jeffs, and her sister Amanda Pedro, as well as many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. All who loved her very much.
Our hearts may be broken but we are at peace knowing that Susan is no longer in pain and with her savior Jesus Christ.
A celebration of her life will be held at Manchester State Park, date to be determined.
