Bonnie L. LaClair

She is survived by her brother, Michael Sanderson of VT; four daughters, Jody Cole of MA, Dawn Waite and her husband Zane of VT, Heidi Gleason of VT and Barbara Drew-Rivera and her husband Milton Rivera of MA; two sons, Robert Drew and wife Bea of CA and Philip Drew of MA, as well as many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

She is predeceased by six sisters and her parents Bernard Sanderson and Gertrude Boyce.

Our mother was known by many and loved by all. She had a passion for reading, animals and crossword puzzles. Our mom possessed a zest for life that was amazing to behold. Although she battled four different kinds of cancer, underwent 5 separate surgeries, radiation and other treatments and procedures in the last 3 years, her smile never left her face and her spirit never wavered. She drew strength from her family and friends who were there to support, comfort and nurture her in her time of need, as she had done for so many over the years. Our mother was known for her kindness to people less fortunate and would often invite those without a place to go for holidays to join in our family dinner. Our mother’s presence will be greatly missed by our family and by this community.

Our mother requested that there be no services or viewing and that she be remembered for the Queen B she was! There will be a gathering for immediate family at a later date to be determined. Please feel free to celebrate our mom’s life because she lived it to the fullest. In lieu of flowers please direct your donations to the humane society of your choice.
