Visitation will be held at Thorpe Brothers Funeral Home and Chapel at 96 West Street, Brantford, Ontario on Saturday November 2nd from 11:00am-1:00pm, followed by a Funeral Service from 1:00pm-2:00pm.
Susan Bond was born in Brantford Ontario. She apprenticed in culinary arts at Brantford Golf and Country Club, for the love of food. She helped run the kitchen at Bellamy's, Sheridan Lodge and Penmarvian. From there became a homemaker.
Susan loved great food, listening and playing good music, especially playing her drums with the love of her life, Roger. She enjoyed the outdoors, spent a lot of time boating, camping, kayaking, and hanging out with her family and friends.
She had an addiction to purchasing clothes, shoes and jewelry. She had style and always looked beautiful. She was into gardening, butterflies and betty boop.
Susan is preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Joyce, her twin brother Tommy, and her sister Carolyn
Susan is survived by her husband Roger, her 2 sons Zacharie and Devon, her daughter Krista, her grandkids Brayden, Landen, Samara and Kayden.
She is also survived by her brothers Mark, David, Danny and her sisters Natalie, and Kat.
Susan battled stage 4 breast cancer for approximately 8 years. She was so hopeful and optimistic right to the very end. She said she had no need for negativity, only positive energy. I believe her outlook, positivity, optimism, her drive and will to want to be here and all the love she gave and received from her friends and family helped get her this far. She is an inspiration, her life and meaning will stay in our hearts forever
Nurses at the cancer clinic would call her a delicate butterfly and that she had a guardian angel looking over her all these years. Now she is our guardian Angel. Even though she isn't with us physically, she lives in our hearts forever.
