Robert "Bob" Albert Telfer

Bob is survived by his loving wife Patricia Anne Telfer (O’Connor). Bob and Pat would have celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary on June 15th. Bob is also survived by his children Christine, Sandra and Patrick (Leslie). Left to mourn the loss of their grandfather are Meghan Telfer and Erin Telfer. Bob was predeceased by his parents Enoch Allan and Edna Telfer (Stephenson), siblings William Telfer (Doreen), Beth Stevenson (Gerry) and sister-in-law Mary Balsdon (Richard).

Bob is survived by his brother James Telfer (Patricia Anderchek) and sisters-in-law Joan Butcher (Bill Butcher, deceased), Margaret Leitenberger and Michelle O’Connor (Don Connolly). Also mourning Bob’s passing are several nieces and nephews.

Bob was born and raised in Burford, Ontario and moved to West Brantford when he married Pat. An auto mechanic by trade, Bob was a dedicated employee of Bell Canada for more than 30 years, until his retirement in 1993. Bob was a long time member of the Brantford Curling Club as well as a member at Northridge Municipal Golf Course where he enjoyed many rounds with his golf buddies. His regular foursome usually teed off while the dew was still on the ground. Bob had a passion for driving and always said he was most relaxed when he was on the road. In his retirement, Bob enjoyed driving people to the airport with Airlink Transportation. Annual road trips to Sarasota, Florida with John and Betty were also enjoyable for Bob, where he and Pat spent time with the O’Connor sisters and friends every November for 25 years. Bob was a kind, caring and humble gentleman who will be missed by all who had the privilege of sharing his company.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Thorpe Brothers Funeral Home. A private service for family and close friends is being held on Thursday and Bob will be laid to rest at Burford Pioneer Cemetery.
