A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 3pm, Saturday, October 30th at 401 W Brandon Blvd, Brandon FL. 33511. Officiating will be Pastor Dorothy Ferguson of Hands of God Ministries. Arrangements are by Stowers Funeral Home

Walter Boyd Jr (III) born in Brooklyn, New York to Walter Boyd Jr and Mary Tilghman (Boyd) on February 2, 1967. He was a star athlete and graduated from Peru High in Plattsburg, NY. He originally enlisted in the Army Feb.1985 where he met his wife Cheryl in 1990. They married on Jan. 20, 1993. Walter started working as a truck driver at 18 and continued throughout his life. He was an award-winning employee at Ruan for 27 years. He was a true Sports fan and represented his favorite teams the NC Tar Heel and Dallas Cowboys with almost everything he wore. Walter was the life of the party and made friends everywhere he went.

Walter was preceded in death by his parents Walter Boyd Jr and Mary Haynes (Tilghman Boyd). He is survived by his wife Cheryl Boyd, Children Walter Boyd IV, Veronique Schmidt, Ashante Lyons, and Alysia Evans. His siblings Vernon Boyd, Margarita Boyd, and Julia Haynes, His Grandchildren Ahmunet, Eva, Juliana, Amiyah, Zechariah, Byron, Deric, Tayler, Andrew, close friend Kenn Connor and a host of Aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
