Philippines on August 1, 1930, to Jose and Monzell Ortaliz. Her family lived here until May 1945,
when they were transported by American ships that took them to the United States. Once they
arrived, her family eventually settled in Tampa, FL where Rosina attended and graduated from
Hillsborough High School. Later, she met and married Arthur Cox on September 16, 1950.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Arthur of 71 years, her younger brother, Michael Ortaliz,
her grandmother, Dessie Romero and her parents, Jose and Monzell Ortaliz.
She is survived by her daughter, LouAnn of Spring Hill, FL; her son, Roger and his wife, Carol of
Tampa, FL; granddaughter, Rosina and her husband, Tim; and her great-granddaughter, Abigail,
all of Tallahassee, FL. She is also survived by her sister, June and her husband, Danny of
Keystone Heights, FL, and a brother, Jimmy and his wife, Bobbie of Orlando, FL. She leaves
behind many other nieces, nephews, and dear friends, who will sadly miss her.
A visitation will be held at Stowers Funeral Home, 401 West Brandon Boulevard, Brandon, FL on
Saturday, November 18, 2023, at 11:00 AM followed by the funeral service at noon. The final
resting place will be at 1:00 PM at the Garden of Memories cemetery
