A visitation for Rose will be held Wednesday, October 20, 2021 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Hillsboro Memorial Funeral Home, 2323 West Brandon Blvd, Brandon, FL 33511. A funeral mass will occur Thursday, October 21, 2021 from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM at St. Stephen Catholic Church, 10118 St Stephen Circle, Riverview, FL 33569. A graveside service will occur Thursday, October 21, 2021 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Hillsboro Memorial Gardens, 2323 West Brandon Blvd, Brandon, FL 33511.

Rose Perez was predeceased by her Husband Frank Perez Sr., Father Joseph Buono, her Mother Lucy Patalano, Brother Charles Buono and Sister Mary Esposito and her Aunt Marian Silvestro.
Rose lived and raised her 2 Sons in New York City. When her Children attended Holy Name School she worked as a crossing guard and volunteered at Holy Name School and Church. When her sons were older, she went to work as the receptionist for Empire Mutual Insurance Company.
After her sons were married, she moved to New Jersey to live with her son Edward and daughter in-law Kendell. Rose worked in New Jersey as an Executive Administrative Assistant and helped raise her grandkids Mark and Crystal. When her grandkids started school, Rose retired from work to spend most of her time attending the grandkid’s sporting events, robotic competitions and bowling league. She always did crafts with the children. In addition, she volunteered at St. James Catholic Church in Totowa NJ. She then moved with her son and daughter in-law to Montville NJ where she volunteered at the kid’s school (Cedar Hill grade school), volunteered at St. Pius X Catholic Church, the Rosary Society and the Montville Senior Center.
In 2007 she moved to DeLand Florida to live with her son Frank and her daughter in-law Ides. She was involved with raising her grandson David and volunteered at St. Peter Catholic Church. In her 80’s, she took painting classes and created many beautiful works of art and crafts. She liked to sew, knit and crochet making many beautiful articles of clothing.
In 2019 she moved to Florida’s West Coast to live in a beautiful Assessed Living Facility. The Crossings at Riverview which is located on the Alafia River near her family. She enjoyed family parties and made friends with the residents and staff at The Crossings; they were her extended family. she enjoyed playing Bingo, Poker, 500 rummy and many card games. Throughout her life she loved to read novels, most times reading a book a day. Rose enjoyed Music and dancing. Her favorite song was “Lady”, by Kenny Rogers. She was fortunate enough to go on many Cruises during her lifetime with Friends and Family. Rose enjoyed cruise vacations to The Caribbean, and Alaska. She also visited Puerto Rico and many States throughout the United States. But we can never forget that Rose and her Siblings enjoyed many Sundays at Coney Island Beach; that was the family gathering place back in the day.
Rose is survived by her 2 sons Frank Perez and wife Ides Perez, Edward Perez and wife Kendell Perez,
Grand children, Mark Perez Wife Robin Colangelo Perez, Crystal Perez Prewitt and husband Marc Prewitt and David Perez,
Great-Grand children Lucas Prewitt, Jack Prewitt, Kyle Prewitt, Brittany Dunn, Liliana Colangelo
Great-Great-Grand Children Oakley Dunn and Chance Dunn,
Niece Barbara Mercado and husband Raymond Mercado
Grand Nephew Raymond Mercado Jr. Wife Kathleen and their 2 Children Bria and Kylie,
Grand Niece Raquel Kessler and husband Evan and their 2 Children Ethan and Ava.
Rose has family still residing in New York, Niece Lorraine Surowiec her Husband John Surowiec, their 5 Children and many Grand Children.
