Roman graduated from Durant High School in 2015 and University of South Florida in 2020 with a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology. He worked for the Crisis Center of Tampa Bay as an EMT. Roman had recently graduated from the Hillsborough County Fire Academy, and was looking forward to his placement and dedicating his life in services of others.
Roman had an adventurer's spirit; he loved the outdoors, fishing, hunting, kayaking working out, and sports. Most of all, Roman enjoyed spending time with his loving family and friends. He was also an animal lover, and shared a special connection with his yellow lab Kaiba.
He is survived by his parents, AnnMarie and Sam Puleo Jr.; brother, Sam Puleo III; paternal grandparents, Mary and Sam Puleo Sr.; maternal grandmother, Carla Dobbs; uncles, John Puleo, David (Erin) Puleo; aunt, Susan Dobbs; many extended family members and friends.
Roman was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Dennis Dale Dobbs.
A visitation for Roman will be held on Friday, December 9, 2022 from 6:30-8:30 PM, with a prayer service at 7:30 PM at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 4450 County Rd. 579, Seffner, Florida 33584. A mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, December 10, 2022 at 10:00 AM, Nativity Catholic Church, 705 E. Brandon Blvd., Brandon, FL 33511. The family will receive guests from 9:00 until the mass at 10:00 AM. Interment will immediately follow at Serenity Meadows Memorial Park, 6919 Providence Road, Riverview, FL 33578.
