Richard Allen Swick

SWICK, Richard A., 81, passed away Wednesday, February 1, 2012. He was born August 22, 1930 in Rochester, N.Y. Before retiring he was employed by Stromberg Carlson Corporation in accounting and financial analysis for 38 years. Richard was graduated by Rochester Institute of Technology receiving Baccalaurrate and Masters degrees. He served in the U.S. Army Signal Corps during the Korean War. He also played several instruments and played professionally in area bands in Western New York and in Florida. He was predeceased by his parents Ralph and Katherine Swick. Richard is survived by his spouse, Alice; daughter, Mary (Thomas) Schoff of Sarasota; uncle, Lewis Swick of Temple Terrace and several cousins. The family will receive friends from 9:30-10:30 a.m., followed by a funeral Mass that will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, February 4, 2012 at Nativity Catholic Church. Interment will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Wayland, New York. In lieu of flowers donations in Richard’s name may be made to LifePath Hospice –Sapphire Team or to your favorite charity.
