He graduated from St. John’s University in NYC. He married Joan Marcus on October 18, 1958. They were married 56 years, raised three sons and had eight grandchildren. Joan and Ray had lived up and down the Eastern seaboard, from Roanoke VA to Buffalo NY, until they settled for an extended period in Lincroft NJ.
With all their children off on their own, they retired to Sarasota, FL where they built their dream home and a new life together. Ray was an avid golfer, with half-dozen documented hole-in-ones, He played daily and was usually the first out on the course. Ray enjoyed spending times with friends and family, fishing and took to woodworking in his retirement.
He is survived by his sons, Raymond of North Port, FL, Joseph of Sarasota, FL and Christopher of Lithia, FL; daughter-in-law, Liza; grandchildren, Emily, Isabelle, Amanda, Chelsea, Harrison, Noah, Jacob and Teagan. He was predeceased by his wife, Joan.
