Patricia Jean Garrett

Patricia J. Garrett, age 76, of Plant City, FL, entered Heaven's gates on Monday, December 9, 2019 at home while surrounded by her husband and children. She was born on March 20, 1943 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Patricia is survived by her husband of 58 years, Larry B. Garrett, Sr., her children, Larry B. Garrett, Jr. (Ava), Tammy Woodall (Mark), Christine Hauser (Denny), and Rick Garrett (Traci), as well as her grandchildren, Greg Garrett, Amy Woodall, Adam Woodall, Lindsey Hauser, Josh Hauser, Haley Garrett, Hannah Garrett, Hope Garrett, and great-grandchildren Emma Wetherington, Lilli Garrett and Chase Garrett. She is also survived by three sisters, Louella Freel, Vera L'Abbe and Carol Lavoie. She is preceded in death by her parents Howard Bush, Irene Wetzel Bush, and siblings Bill Bush, Cheryl Ferraro and Kathy McDowell.

During her teenage years, Patricia moved with her family from her birthplace of Pittsburgh to Tampa, Florida where she met her husband. For many years she worked in the display advertising department for the Plant City Courier, the Brandon News and the Tampa Tribune. Later she became a Hillsborough County School bus driver for 15 years until she retired.

Patricia built her life to revolve around her husband and the large family they created. Her strong Christian faith and love for God were transparent in her personality. She loved animals of all kinds, although dogs held a very special place in her heart.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 am, Friday, December 13, 2019 at Hillsboro Memorial. Visitation will be held from 9:30-10:30 am at the funeral home. Burial will be held in Hillsboro Memorial Gardens.
