Molly D Cooney

An avid golfer, Molly was taught the game by her father at a young age and continued to play competitively at the University of Arizona and Indiana University and became a State Champion in Indiana.

Family, friends, cooking, golf, game shows, cards and dogs were her passion. Molly was a member of Nativity Catholic Church and volunteered regularly at Brandon Regional Hospital.

She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Frank and Prelina Dunigan, loving sister, Kathleen Dunigan and adored husband, Michael Cooney. She is survived by her four daughters, Kerry Shaw, Kathy Head, Kelly Lill, Kristy Konecsny, two step daughters, Alisa Liggett and Angie Griffin, six granddaughters, Mallorie, Maggie, Ashlie, Kelsey, Emma-Kate and Julia and three grandsons Jacob, Matthew and Graham.

A memorial mass will be celebrated at Nativity Catholic Church, 705 E. Brandon Blvd. at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, October 14th, with a luncheon reception immediately following at The Regent, 6437 Watson Rd., Riverview, FL.
