Manuel came to the United States in 1967, settling in New Jersey. He came with a vision of a greater future with more opportunities for his family. He was a Pioneer to his family/ friends as he assisted many to arrive to the United States for a better life.
Manuel had a wonderful business sense. He worked hard and later opened Don Juan Trucking Company, a successful transportation business he operated until his retirement. In 2005, He and his wife, Graciela relocated to Florida. He loved the outdoors and the beach, so Florida was a perfect haven for him. He also loved to travel, watch soccer and eat delicious seafood.
Manuel is survived by his son, Steve (Ruth) Fuentes; brothers, Pedro (Thesla) Fuentes, Jose (Odeida) Fuentes; grandchildren, Jazmin Fuentes-Booth, Esteban Fuentes Jr., Patricia Fuentes-Davis, great-grandchildren, Valery Fuentes, Catalina Fuentes, Royce Santiago Booth; many extended family members and friends.
In addition to his parents, Manuel was preceded in death by his wife, Graciela Fuentes; baby daughter, and brother, Rafael Fuentes.
A visitation will be held on Friday October 21, 2022 from 10 am until the service at 11am, Hillsboro Memorial Funeral Home 2323 W. Brandon Blvd. Brandon, Florida 33511.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in Manuel’s honor to a charity of your choice.
