JoAnn Baker

She was born on February 17, 1951 in Tampa, Florida to the late Louie and Elvira Baker.

JoAnn graduated from Hillsborough High School in 1969, and spent her career in the Second District Court of Appeal in Tampa and Lakeland. She retired in 2013 as a Judicial Assistant.

In her free time JoAnn enjoyed traveling, especially her annual trips to Sugar Mountain, North Carolina with her sister Lola. She was also enjoyed crocheting, playing with her cats, and playing Mah Jongg with close friends.

In her true giving nature, JoAnn volunteered her time with Meals on Wheels.

A gathering of family & friends for JoAnn will be held on Saturday, April 15, 2023 from 12:00 PM until the Celebration of Life at 1:00 PM at Stowers Funeral Home, 401 West Brandon Blvd, Brandon, Florida 33511.

JoAnn is survived by her beloved sister, Lola Menendez; nephew, Richard (Stacy) Menendez; niece, Rachel (Danny) Wescott; great nephew Mack Menendez, great niece, Allyson Menendez; and many extended family members and friends.

In addition to her parents, JoAnn was preceded in death by her brother-in-law Richard Menendez, Sr.
