White, James P. 84, a resident of Brandon, Florida for the past 60 years passed away in the presence of family on November 16, 2021. He was preceded in death by his parents, Perry and Thelma (Guest) White, his infant sister Donna Sue and his brother, Robert Wycliff White.
He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years. Alberta M. (Harvey) White; his daughters Loren Kelly Barowski (Michael), Melinda Anne Johnson (Patrick), and son James Darryl White (Alexandra). He has 10 grandchildren: Loren Barowski Grasso, Megan Johnson Harrington, Kristine L. Barowski, Marissa N. Johnson, Erin M. Barowski, Austin P. White, Logan E. White, Zachary P. Johnson, Sophia A. White, and Olivia M. White; and 3 great-grandchildren, Cole and Claire Harrington, Michael V. Grasso.
James graduated from Hillsborough High School in 1956 and then served in the Navy He later retired from Tampa Electric Company after 23 years. After retiring, he enjoyed spending time with family, friends, traveling, going to car shows, military museums and antique shopping. A gathering of family and friends to honor and remember him will be held on Tuesday, November 23, 2021 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 1412 John Moore Road, Brandon, Fl. Viewing will be at 10 am and service will begin at 11 am. Interment to follow at Hillsboro Memorial Cemetery
