Denzel Lyvon Curby, 80 passed peacefully surrounded by his family on November 10, 2024, at Melech Hospice House. Denzel was passionate about his faith in the Lord and was a member, missionary director, and trustee at Victory Baptist Church in Valrico. Denzel served in the US Marine Corps and received a Purple Heart for his service in Vietnam. He worked for the railroad, he was a parts salesman for Tampa Tractor and in pest control with his son-in-law Danny for many years. He also served many posts at the DAV Chapter 4 in Tampa including Commander, Treasurer and Chaplin. Denzel married the love of his life Jeanine in 1968 and loved her for over 56 years. Denzel is preceded by his mother Bernice Creel, stepfather Robert Creel, brother Dallas Curby, infant daughter Denise Curby, son Timothy Nix-Curby and son-in-law Daniel Rosello.
He leaves behind his beautiful wife Jeanine Curby, his children, Christi Rosello, Susan Hefner, April Holmquist, and son-in-laws Tom Hefner and Erich Holmquist. Denzel was blessed with 2 grandsons, Joseph Mecca and Jeffrey Rosello and granddaughter in love, Ceara Comeau-Rosello. He is also survived by his brothers Travis Curby and Donnie Curby. Denzel will be dearly missed by all who loved and knew him.
