Sasha and Linda - Sasha- she would always says you are her greatest accomplishment. She has always been so proud of you!!! And Linda, the two of you were always a hoot! Sisters to the end! My heart is full of so many things to say - and yet the right words seem hard to come by. My heart is broken knowing I cannot call her on my way home from work, ask her what she is doing and she will say "Watching Steve Wilko" and then we'd laugh and laugh. That is what we always did though, for about 55 years - we'd laugh and talk about everything and nothing, there would always be humor. The kind of laughter that you cannot even speak for awhile because it just keeps coming. We met in the 8th grade and were inseparable. We had several classes together and could not contain ourselves - giggling mostly, our Math teacher would just look at us and shake his head in hopelessness! We were so silly and had so much fun! I could go on and on. I have always loved the closeness of the Straughn Family. Mr. and Mrs. Straughn and the sisters. Ya'll have always done everything together - it is beautiful to me. I have always felt a closeness with Linda and Peggy because of that. We have all shared so many adventures and maybe a couple of capers too! I won't be able to fit a lifetime of memories so concisely, but I will say that Debbie is loved so very much by many and will be missed so very much. I know she has left us all with enough great memories to help us through the hard times of missing her. I know for me, I start out with with tears of sadness, but then I'll remember something we did, or said, and then the smile comes. She always loved Golden Girls (as well as countless other sit-coms), so - My Buddy - Thank you for being a friend!

I was saddened to hear about Debbie Poynter passing,  she was one of the family I grew to love when I first moved to Tampa.  I will miss her laughter and her smile , I never laughed so hard or so much as when Debbie, Linda Peggy and GaGa invited me to play cards with them , or go on an adventure , we never knew what trouble we could get into and it was the best times of my life. .sorry I missed the limo ride to see Bob Seger, wish I was home that night
 I hope you are at peace with your family in their arms of love , give them some hugs from me. My deepest sympathy to Sasha and Linda and all the family ,
