Daniel Eugene Miller

Daniel Eugene Miller was born on October 17th, 1948 in Springfield, Illinois. A son of Katherine and Norman Miller, he passed away in his home at the age of 64, on Tuesday, March 12th, due to an unfortunate accident. He graduated from Midland High School in 1966 and attended Michigan State University, graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business. He met his sweetheart in 1968 while she was attending Central Michigan University, and they married on March 27th, 1971. They had their daughter, Kari, in August of 1974 and their son Kevin followed three years later in September of 1977. Dan began working in the insurance industry in 1973 and remained in that industry for 40 years. An entrepreneur at heart, 37 years after his start in the insurance industry, he partnered with his son, Kevin, to begin their own insurance agency. One of his greatest joys in this life was being able to work with his son on a daily basis. He was a poet, a patriot and a helpless romantic who always danced with his sweetheart in the kitchen. He wore his heart on his sleeve and truly was a big kid at heart. While our world is a little darker with Dad gone, Heaven just got a whole lot funnier. He is survived by his cherished wife of almost 42 years, Diane, his two children, Kari and Kevin, by his grandchildren Alex, Ashley, Luke, Haley and Avery, by his mother, Katherine, and by his three brothers, Randy, Ron, David, and their families.
