Dan graduated from Brandon High School in 1977. After high school Dan became a Winder and traveled the country, as well as Australia, rewinding large electric motors for hydrostatic damns and public electricity companies, supplying electricity for many communities. Dan had recently retired from Lazy Days as a RV technician where he worked for approximately 20 years.
Dan enjoyed spending time with family and friends, listening to music, attending antique car shows and repairing anything mechanical that needed to be "fixed".
Dan was predeceased by his father Daniel "Frank" McRae. He is survived by his mother Billie Jean McRae, brother Yancy McRae, brother Mark McRae and his wife Kimberly, sister DeAnn McRae, nephew Kele McRae and nieces Mallory and Lisa McRae.
A visitation for Daniel will be held Thursday, February 17, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Hillsboro Memorial Funeral Home, 2323 West Brandon Blvd, Brandon, FL 33511. A graveside service will occur Friday, February 18, 2022 from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM at Hillsboro Memorial Gardens, 2323 West Brandon Blvd, Brandon, FL 33511.
