Edie and Lynn, your mother and father were the best of friends to our family.We spent many a time together and had many laughs.  One fond memory of your father was when Dennis and I had a Christmas party about 12 years ago.  We had invited some of the widow ladies here in La Viva and it wasn't long before three of the ladies and Charlie were sitting at the table listening to Charlie's stories.  The ladies were mezmorized.  It was as if he was holding "court".  One lady in particular he took a fancy to.  So a few days later he called and asked "do you think that pretty lady with the white hair would have lunch with me."  I told him I would call and ask her.  She said she would love to, but, at that time she had health problems that would prevent her from going.  I guess the point of all this is that he still had an eye for a pretty lady,  I know he was very lonely for Nedra and missed her very much as do Dennis and I.  Thank you for sharing  your wonderful father with us.  Dennis and Frances

Charlie was such a wonderful Christian man. He was a member of the greatest generation that served our country during WWII. He was a friend and a Christian mentor that helped guide many people in their faith. I will miss Charlie.

Eddie and Lynn your father was always good to me and also I remember the times we went tarpon fishing together.  I will always remember him and your mother.  Andrew S and Cynthia Carp Sparta TN.

So sorry to hear about "CW".  He was such a great guy!  I still remember how he took Carl & me house hunting and sold us our first home.  Keep your memories of him close.  They will help you through this sad time.

My parents introduced us to Mr. Charlie 20 years ago when he took us to look at houses.  Not only did we buy a house but we got a wonderful history lesson about Brandon.  RIP Mr. Charlie and look up my parents!  Love to his family.  Jerry and Karen Rodriguez
