Charles was a hard-working man, a wonderful husband, and father.
He was a graduate of Boston Technical High School, attended Hampton Institute in Virginia, and Wentworth Institute in Boston, MA.
Charles worked for the IBM Corporation where he became a member of the IBM Quarter Century Club and received various awards and honors as an IBM employee.
His work-ethic and determination helped to advance his career from an entry-level service position to later retiring, in 1999, as a project manager.
Charles enjoyed woodworking, a nice round of golf, loved basketball and was a true hometown fan of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
His children will always revere him as a strong family man who taught them perseverance and moral character while demonstrating, through his actions, how to live a purposeful life.
He is preceded in death by his father, Edward Dixon, his mother, Hassie Amis Dixon, and his sister, Carolyn Dixon Smith.
Charles leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Gale; sons Kenneth Brooks and Charles C. Dixon; daughters, Katrina Brooks Harris, and Chelsea Gayle Dixon.
Grandchildren: Kendra R. Harris Sinclair; Tarah Harris Green; Tommie B. Harris Jr.
Great-grandchildren: Jaden K. Harris; Kaylee A. E. Harris; Sarai J. Harris.
