Susan Thomson

It is with profound sadness and broken hearts that we announce the passing of Susan, our loving and devoted wife, mother, Nana and friend to all whose lives she touched.

She left us peacefully while surrounded by her family on March 8, 2022, after a very short and courageous battle with cancer.

Born in Lancashire, England, Susan immigrated to Toronto, Canada in 1966 with her Mother and Father at the age of 16, where she met her loving husband of 50 years, Alexander Thomson. They were married in July of 1971.

Much loved mother of Andrew Thomson, Jennifer Thomson (Tom) and Gillian Thomson (Ian).

Cherished Nana to Callum, Sophia, Jayda, AJ, Lauren, Mason, Thomas, Jackson, Brett and Cody.

Dear sister-in-law to Jeanette Thomson and the late Bill Thomson.

Owner of Lakeridge Travel in Brampton for 30 plus years, which she absolutely loved. Even after closing the shop, she continued to work from home for her many, many dedicated and lifelong clients, who she spoke of fondly, often.

The family would like to thank her palliative care team- Dr. Ellaurie, Raman and Rafeena for the kindness and compassion they have shown to Susan.

A visitation for Susan will be held Friday, March 11, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Andrews Community Funeral Centre - Bramalea Chapel, 8190 Dixie Road, Brampton, ON L6T5N9, followed by a funeral service from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM.

Reception to be held after the service at the Bramalea Rangers Club – 185 Advance Blvd Unit 2, Brampton, ON L6T 4Y3.
