Predeceased by her loving husband, Lumbertus, Louisa leaves behind 7 children, 21 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Louisa was the most caring, loving person you would meet. She was the perfect blend of strength and sweetness. She had many wonderful attributes that you would notice immediately.
She was an immensely family-oriented person who loved her children in a fierce and protective way. As a devout Catholic, she raised her children in the Christian faith and instilled the core values of love, sharing and caring in the immediate and extended family. Although she was suffering from dementia in her later years, she would recognize people who called on her regularly. Always with a ready smile and a kind word, she is surely smiling on all her beloved children and grandchildren now.
We wish to thank all the caregivers at Malton Village Nursing home that took care of our mom and made our visits there so welcoming.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to The Alzheimer's Society in honour of our mother.
