I just found out about Jason’s passing and am without words.  We went to college together and we’re there for each other in the good times and bad.  He was a true blue friend with a smile that would light up the darkest day.  While our paths had not crossed recently, I always considered him a true friend. 

His passing leaves the world a bit darker amd sadder place.  I hold his family in my heart during this incredibly didficult time.  

There needs to be better words to offer comfort but may his memory be a blessing to all who loved him.  



I just found out about Jason's passing today. To say I'm stunned is an understatement. We met at the Holiday Inn Brampton. I was the hostess, then the Restaurant Supervisor.  We clicked immediately.  We'd go after work to Kelseys and have a drink and talk about work. I followed him from Brampton to Oakville as his Assistant Manager and then we parted ways. Last time I saw him was at his hotel on Rutherford Rd. Great guy. Great memories. I owe him a lot. My deepest condolences to his family, friends, coworkers and everyone else whose lives he touched.💔

I just wanted to share a quick story. I worked for Jason as a co-op student over 20 years ago. I never forgot him. He was always so kind. My condolences to his family. May he Rest In Peace.

I just learned of Jason's passing on LinkedIn.  I remember Jason from when he was at the Holiday Inn Brampton back in the 80's.  He was a great friend back then, very helpful.  I was recently thinking about him... My sincere condolences to his friends and family...

I met Jason by accident while doing grad college research. We were email pals and would send each other small gifts. He was such a kind and sweet man. I promised that if I ever visited Toronto, I would only stay at his hotel and I would treat him to dinner. He sent me a Hockey Jersey and I sent him Morehead State and University of Kentucky shirts. I will miss my friend. I pray for peace, comfort and loving memories to all of his family and friends. I will cheer the Maple Leafs and think of you my friend! To the Unger family,

I just found out today about Jason's passing and while I have not spoken to him in a few years,  I was heartbroken to hear the news.  We worked together, in side-by-side cubicles, at Northwind Canada several years back.   His smile could light up a room; his sunny disposition was always a welcome part of my day and we laughed and joked a lot.  He always said I was the Penelope Garcia to his Derek Morgan, and I will miss him dearly.

My condolences to Jason’s family. My heart hurts reading this today. I have fond memories of Jason as we went to school together and grade 12 prom. I nearly didn’t recognize myself and Jason in our prom outfits. I should of reached out and kept in touch.  He had a kind heart and soul. He will be greatly missed.  May Jason RIP. 

Jason was a wonderful soul. I worked for him 25 years ago and he still holds the #1 favourite boss position in my heart. I’m so sorry to his family.  The world is a little bit darker without him with us.

We grew up together on Flavian Crescent.  It was tight knit community on the street and as kids we were always playing outside - street hockey, hide and go seek, 500 Up.  For many summers,  several of families, including the Unger family, would pack a picnic and we would all go to Centre Island for the day. Jason was a very kind and friendly person.  He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Rest in Peace my friend.
