Ellen Nicol Ballantyne

Ellen Nicol Ballantyne (n. Bradley) August 29, 1925 - August 21, 2022. Peacefully at Brampton Civic Hospital in her 97th year. Beloved wife of Andrew W. Ballantyne (d. April 22, 2020) of 55 years. Much loved Mum to Andrea (Steven) Thomson and John. Gran to Christina (Derrick) Peacock, Mitchell, Cameron & Stewart Thomson. Great Gran to Shalee, Barrett and Charlotte. Born in Glasgow Scotland, Ellen met her dance partner Andy and emigrated to Canada in 1964. Together they raised their family in Willowdale. Ellen was a strong advocate for the mentally disabled and instrumental in the creation of Mary Centre. They continued to dance and travel well into their golden years. Reunited to dance for all eternity. Thank you to the staff at Greenway Retirement & Brampton Civic for their care.
