Sincere condolences to Margaret, 
Dolin, family and friends of Denika.  I recently heard the tragic and sad news and my heart goes out to everyone.  When Denika was a few months old, at Aunt Nellie's house in Weymouth Falls, Margaret allowed me to change her diaper - just so I could tell her I had done so when she grew up.  I was actually able to do just that when they lived in Malton.  Denika was a beautiful soul and she has left enduring memories.

Denika even today I can’t believe that you are gone, you were a kind, living and giving individual always ready to help. Will always remember the fun we had with the kids , you were a good Mom and Wife ; they will alway remember the beautiful you . I know your soul is resting in peace 🙏🏾

The first time I met my 2nd cousin Denika was in July of 1990.  We went to pick her up at Yarmouth Airport in Nova Scotia.  She had flown in to attend her Aunt Vi's Wedding.

I was videoing as she entered the terminal. She had me laughing from the get go. So proud of her tan, lifting her shirt sleeve to show her tan line.  She kept repeating Toronto Tan,  Toronto Tan!

She then starting talking with a foreign accent, she had the accent down to a tee.  I remember her father, Dolin talking to her one day, she stayed in character.  No matter how hard Dolin tried, he had to laugh.

Denika was a precious soul, and at the age of 56 she had a lot of live to live.  Denika will live on in her children, her parents, her sister, her family and friends.  Denika thank you for the laughs. For the rest of my life when I think of  you, it will bring a smile to my face.  God Bless you cousin and God Bless your family! ♥️

Our sincerest condolences for your loss. Denika and I had some fun times while living in Peel Village.  We weren’t just neighbours but also friends and soccer mates. I remember how Denika had a pleasant way of igniting energy and light around people with her big bright eyes and smile. She was always open to the kids playing together, as she loved company and conversations. She was a big help scooping them up after school if I was running late. Grateful for the little favours we exchanged over time.
Life sent us in different paths but Denika’s energy, kindness and laughter will never be forgotten. May she rest in eternal peace.

To the Barnes Family

Denika mother, wife, daughter, sister aunt, friend, a loving, thoughtfull, caring, fun, energetic person, who always brings out the best in you, who made you feel welcome  and comfortable
When I first met you playing  soccer in Brampton through a good friend off ours, Suzy Roach, our kids played soccer together as well as some of the parents of those kids who played on the adult soccer team and that's how I met you and your family
We would  also hang out together ( the team) after games, do meets up for dinners or do potlucks at  some of our teammates homes, my husband who coached our team for a bit. We had lots of fun playing.
After I had stopped l playing soccer for some time we did keep in contact, then we lost contact with each other and after a few years we connected again for awhile and then lost contact for quite a few years again, and now my heart is broken.
From my family our deepest heart-felt condolences and our prayers are with your family at the safest off time. I will miss you loads.
Denika look down on your family who you loved with all your heart and soul, watch over them.

So so so sorry I cannot be there to attend your celebration  of life due to the COVID 19. I am lock down here in Trinidad & Tobago, but if permitted my husband would really like to be there to represent us please
