Dear Paul,
I only met Barbara when we started the Catholicism series at D'Youville Parish that you spearheaded. I was immediately won over by her spirited participation, her cheerfulness and refreshing insights. Midway through our series, we just found ourselves becoming closer and closer. I miss her spontaneity and her genuine sense of caring---cautioning us about potential dangers when we embarked on a holiday in Turkey. I know that she is in a much better place now, peacefully watching over you with a smile!

Dear Paul: Although Barbara and I been sporadic in our communications over the last few years, I always loved her as a dear friend. We had so much fun together years and years ago. I live in Chatham and didn't see it in the Globe but another old friend said it was in the Star. I am so sorry for your loss. Please pass on my condolences to your family. Our sincerest condolences go out to you and your family at this trying time.
She was God's child and now she has gone to her room in His house.
I never thought of a funeral as being beautiful,but when I saw the love of her church community and those who knew and loved her come to pay their respects for this very special lady, my sorrow turned to joy.The readings and the music were all so appropriate and there was no doubt as to where Barbara's final journey would take her.I could almost see the Master holding His arms open and Barb saying "Hi Lord.I finally get to meet you face to face;now we can sit down and really have a good talk"
As Luzmindo said "She was like a child who was happy to see everyone".
Her faith,attitude,happiness and devotion to her family and friends were truly a gift from God.

Although I haven't been in touch with Barbara for many years, I want you to know I've been thinking of you and your family at this difficult time.  I have happy memories of our high school time and was pleased to be a bridesmaid at your wedding.  As you might remember, I was living at 26 Belvedere in those days.

I'll always remember her sparkling eyes and wonderful smile.
