Margaret is survived by her sister, Ellen P. Shaffer and nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents, Patrick and Mary E. Griffin; brothers, Msgr. Patrick J. Griffin, Martin Griffin and Dan Griffin; sisters, Mary Ann Griffin, Ann Peters and Agnes Thompson.
Margaret graduated from St. Mary's High School, Columbus, OH, received her Bachelor of Science from St. Teresa College, Winona, MN and Masters in Education Administration from University of Mankato, MN.
During her teaching career, she furthered her education at Brigham Young University, Ohio University, Marshall College, Ohio State and University of St. Louis.
She taught and was Principal 18 years as a Rochester Franciscan at Rochester, Wilmont, MN, Chicago, Ironton and Portsmouth, OH.
Margaret was a Principal and Central Office Curriculum Specialist in Southwest City Schools, Grove City, OH for 17 years. She was Past President Ohio Principal Association.
Margaret was organist and Religious Education Teacher at OLPH in Grove City, OH. She has been a member of Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Parish in Sarasota, FL since 1982. She was a homebound minister, member of the Catholic Women's Association, Parish Council, and Coordination of Lectors there.
She volunteered at Bayshore Elementary, Food Kitchen and Project Light in Bradenton.
Margaret has been a resident in Freedom Village for almost 5 years. She will be greatly missed by her dear friends there. She was active in volunteering and enjoying the many activities.
