She is preceded in death by her loving father Fred (Fritz) and mother Julia Petti also of Cleveland Ohio.
Lucille was the second child of three girls and one boy. Mary Jane (Petti) Welch of Deland FL., Lucille, Lori (Petti) Schaub and John Petti, both from Bradenton FL.
Lucille grew up in South Euclid Ohio and graduated Brush High School. She attended John Carroll University 4 yrs, as one of the first female students in an all male institution at the time. Then she received her Medical Technologist Training and License thru a study internship at a local hospital where she received her Medical Technologist License. She worked mainly at Suburban Hospital now part of Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland Ohio. Her job duties included testing in the hospital blood lab.
Lucille married her now husband, Harry in 1980. Her son Kip was born in 1982 and is married to wife Nikita. She is the proud grandmother to 6yr old grandson Theo Carbone. She relocated to Bradenton, Florida in 1984 with her husband Harry and son Kip (less than 2 yrs old). She worked for Manatee Community Blood Bank for 26 years until retiring with now named One Blood. She worked as the lab supervisor, doing blood testing, blood drawing, recruiting donors and all aspects of Blood Banking.
Lucille will be fondly remembered by family and friends as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and her love for cooking and baking.
A celebration of life for Lucille will be held Thursday, November 12, 2020 with a visitation from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm and a funeral service starting at noon, located at Robert Toale and Sons Funeral Home at Manasota Memorial Park, 1221 53rd Ave East, Bradenton, FL 34203. A committal service will follow at 2:30 pm at Sarasota National Cemetery, 9810 State Road 72, FL 34241.
