Wow!  I was just now searching online at the Cox Chevy site looking over the inventory and then searched online to say hello.  However, I found his obit dated February 14 and was shocked!  Steve was a Walker Junior High and Manatee High School classmate of mine.  I remember when he scared me to death riding in the back of a Blazer that he had at school (no seat belts in the very back).  Well I survived.  I also knew his wife, Judy, whom I participated with in the "Music Makers" band.  She was a great musician.  I send all my prayers and sympathy to Gary and all the Cox family.  I'm so sorry for your loss.  Steve was a really great guy.  God rest his soul.

My deepest sympathy to the Cox family during this very difficult time.  Steve was such a kind soul with a great sense of humor. I will always remember him walking through the dealership daily with a caring smile and kind word to everybody he came in contact with. I will also remember when he snipped up a cracker package, left on my desk, with the very tip of scissors to make it look like rat bites, and hiding a remote rat under the desk which he had run out after our Warranty Admin took her seat! Steve sincerely cared for everybody and was always available for a laugh, or even a cry if you needed an ear to listen to you. His legacy will live on at Cox Chevrolet in my heart and the hearts of all that were blessed to know him. Rest in peace Steve!

I am so very sorry for your loss. May Steve be at peace. My late husband Don Scott worked for Steve and Gary for nineteen years. We shared many Christmas parties. So many good memories. 
Steve always greeted us when we were at Cox Chevrolet. He will be missed.
