Joanie was the daughter of the late Everett and Merle Roderick. She was born in Danville, IL with 1 brother, Melvin, and 3 sisters; Evelyn, Gerry and her twin sister Maxine Jean.
She moved to Bradenton at the age of 12. She married "Buddy" in 1955 and was married for 54 years. She was a beautician and worked with her husband in the family auto body business for over 40 years.
She is survived by two daughters; Lynn Steiner and Kathy Cunnien, sons in law; Matt and Rick; 3 grandchildren, Shannon, Jackie (Jeff) and Jake (Alexa); 6 great grandchildren, Jayla, Jack, Jeffrey, Ava, Jovanni, and Lil Jake (coming soon), her twin sister Jeanie and lots of family and friends. She will be reunited with her husband, Buddy, and family in heaven.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, July 25th from 11am to 12pm with a service to follow at 12pm at Manasota Funeral Home, 1221 53rd Ave E Bradenton, FL 34203. A reception will take place after the services at Kathy's house.
