Shirley D. Greger, 88, died peacefully surrounded by family on July 1st, 2022. She was a long-time Boyertown resident, born in Hatfield, PA, and graduated from Hatfield High School. Born November 15th, 1933 to the late Samuel Royer & Eva (Schwartz) Royer, her roots go back to the founders of Royersford. She enjoyed local history and was the family historian. Shirley managed Meadowbrook Dairy in North Coventry for many years where she was known as the Big Dipper, and later became a real estate agent with Specht Realty where she made many homeownership dreams come true for area residents. Shirley also was a volunteer with the Limerick Lions Club, enjoyed traveling, and had a superb green thumb for wonderful gardens and houseplants to beautify the world.
She was preceded in death by her husband William Greger (1989) and siblings Kenneth Royer, Bud Royer, and Annette (Royer) Moyer. She is survived by four children, Wendy (Landis) Walton wife of Michael Walton, Gilbertsville, Lori (Landis) Brimmer, wife of Scott Brimmer, Boyertown, Stanley Landis, husband of Kelly (Hughes) Landis, Ft. Myers, FL, and Randy Landis husband of Anita (Maser) Landis, Pottstown, and six loving grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral services are being arranged by Linwood Ott Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 7th, 2022 11am at the Linwood W. Ott Funeral Home in Boyertown, PA. A visitation will be held prior to the service from 10am to 11am. Burial will take place at Keelys Church Cemetery in Schwenksville, PA.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Boyertown Lions Club.
