Born in Niantic, PA. He was the last surviving son of Jennie (Geisinger) and Howard Kahler.
Pitts was last employed as a ribbon weaver for over 30 years at the Bally Ribbon Mill.
He served in the US Army during WWII in the European Theater with the 104th Infantry Division, and was awarded a Purple Heart for wounds received in action.
Pitts was a life member of the American Legion Post 184 and the Goodwill Fire Company.
Pitts is survived by his son, Randy A. husband of Lorene (Yurasits) Kahler of Northampton. He is also survived by two grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
