Bob / Greenie grew up in Morristown, NJ, attended The Morristown School, (now Morristown Beard) Nichols College and North Carolina State College (now North Carolina State University) earning a bachelor’s in engineering. Go Wolfpack!. He was an accomplished athlete and Korean War Army Veteran.
Robert was a born craftsman with a keen eye for design and mastery of materials. He was an expert handyman whose hands were never idle. From creating furniture, building and/or renovating homes, landscaping, and installing a pool, to art and mechanical repair, he approached every project with meticulous planning and enthusiasm.
Bob moved to Warren, PA in 1976 as a partner in Waterhouse Inc. and then became the Manufacturing Manager at Berenfield Containers in Clarendon. He loved playing golf and was a longtime member of Conewango Valley Country Club. Bob also fulfilled his dream of becoming a private pilot and flew regularly from Brokenstraw Airport.
Bob enjoyed travelling and blue water sailing. He and his wife Barb, spent many retirement years making memories, driving cross country in their RV and sailing to the Bahamas. They lived in Leesburg, FL for 15 years and moved to Kennedy, NY in 2020.
Bob is survived by his wife Barbara A. Greenberger, Kennedy, NY.
Three daughters: Sheri Greenberger, Holland MI, Lauren (Charles) Hall, Newport News, VA, Kim Greenberger, Reston VA.
Two Granddaughters: Elyse (Patrick) Crouch, Erin (Michael) Schecter; and
Three Great-grandsons, Liam, Parker, and Cooper.
Stepchildren: Ronald Packard, Randall Packard and Nicole Pitts, as well as step grandchildren and step great-grandchildren.
Robert was proceeded in death by his first wife and mother of his daughters, Suzanne J. Bennett Greenberger, his parents and brother Richard.
