Jane Marie Rice

We regretfully announce the passing of Jane Marie Rice of Bowie, Maryland. Jane spent her last few days surrounded by her close-knit family and the great care she received at the Anne Arundel Medical Center Oncology Unit. She passed away peacefully on Monday night, April 4, 2022.

Jane was the strongest and most devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend. In 1959, she met Donald Lee, and together, they went on to have three children and a beautiful marriage of sixty years. Jane was the most dedicated mother who gave her all to her family. Her creativity was inspired by love and shared wholeheartedly with loved ones. We will never be able to fill the space left behind by her. Her sense of humor, generosity, and kindness will live on through those who have known and loved her.

Jane was predeceased by her eldest son Donnie, her sister Barbara and their mother, Jane Neher. She is survived by her incredible husband Donald, loving son Kevin and his partner Matt, her loving son Michael and his wife Kari, their three children, Zachary, Noah, and Chloe, and Michael’s son, Jacob. Jane was never happier than when surrounded by and celebrating life with her family.

On Saturday, April 9, 2022, services will be held at Evans Funeral Home at 16000 Annapolis Road in Bowie, Maryland 20715. Visitation begins at 11:00 a.m., followed by a memorial service at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please provide donations to the National Breast Cancer Foundation in Memory of Jane Rice.
