Kelly and family, I was just looking over and updating my genealogy files when I came across this obituary.  I am so soooo sorry for your loss!  I can't imagine what you must be going through.  My deepest condolences!

Kelly, Sara, Sam and the Dixon family,

I cannot express my sorrow over your loss; Eric was a great friend, extended co-worker, and  truly wonderful man. Eric was always very willing to help when I would call his office for assistance, and always put a smile on my face! He was a good friend, though we only spoke over the phone. He spoke of his family often with me, as I did mine, and he has left a permanent mark on my heart as a wonderful, compassionate, and caring person I was lucky to know! He will be terribly missed, as will his laugh and smile which came through the phone clearly every time we spoke! 

Kelly, I only know you and the kids through Eric's conversations with me, but you were the loves of his life! He shared stories of Sara often with me, as my own daughter was just turning 8 a couple weeks ago. I am  so very sorry for your loss of a great husband and father, a man who thought the world of you and his children. 

I am thankful I got to know Eric through working with AMI, though we never met, and I will sincerely miss him! May he rest peacefully in the grace of God.

I am forever grateful to have known Eric for the last 12 years. He has been the older brother I have always wanted. He has been there for every monumental step in my life. From graduating high school and college to buying my first home, Eric was always standing by my side to give me sound advice and to support and motivate me.

Eric was a giver, a listener, a leader and a true friend. His large heart and contagious smile brightened the office each and every day. His genuine interest in each of our lives has left lasting impressions on all at AMI. 

I am so thankful for all that Eric has done, and for all that he has been to me and my family. The office and our hearts will never be the same.

Kelly and the entire Dixon family - my son, David Hulstine, and Eric were best buds when we lived in Bowie. Eric was a part of our family because he was always at our house. I was blessed to be let into Donald Dixon's home 12 years ago to help him refinance. At the time, I knew what a special family I was meeting. He introduced me to his brother Jerry and I was fortunate to stay in touch with Jerry's wife Marian.  Marian informed  me about this tragic happening. I don't know of any words that can ease the Dixon family's pain.  All I can express from knowing the 2 families is that God is with them and everything has a purpose.  I will pray for their times ahead to have less pain and more understanding.

  Mrs. Dixon I can not express how sad I felt when I heard of your husband's accident.  I am so sorry.  I was lucky enough to have met Mr. Dixon when he picked Sara up from aftercare one day last week.  He and Sara were walking down the hall.  Sara saw me and shouted, "Hi Mrs. Dolan".  I wish you could have been there.  Sara's words were so full of excitement.  She seemed really happy to see me, but what your husband said will stick with me forever.  "You must be the awesome teacher, because Sara said her teacher was AWESOME and she loves school".  At the time those words made my day, but now I know I was given a beautiful gift.  Your husband seemed like such a loving and caring man.  So happy to be with his daughter.  He will be so missed.

Sending my condolences to the Dixon family, especially Kelly and the kids. Eric was taken away from his family and friends way too soon and sometimes God's plan doesn't make sense to us. I hope you all find some comfort in knowing you now have a special angel watching over you.

Eric's death is so heartbreaking to me.  I am so very sorry for your loss and my greatest sympathy to his family, friends and to his co-workers.  I worked for AMI for several years and although I only met Eric a couple of times, one when he came to my home in Durham, North Carolina to set up equipment for AMI.  I remember picking him up at the airport and said how much he didn't like to fly.   I did talk to him on the phone almost daily during the two years that I worked for AMI.  He was always so sweet, helpful and patient. He will be greatly missed.

Eric's passing is heartbreaking, and I am so sorry for your loss.  It seems like just yesterday that we were all kids running through the streets of Heather Hills.  He will be missed, and our thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Dear Kelly and family,

My sympathies are with you all.   He is a very special man who could make always make me smile at 7:00 in the morning when I would call the office to request reports.  I will always remember when I called in very early and after Eric's greeting I would say "Good morning sunshine".  I will miss him dearly and all the help he would give with my computer, the server and just wish me a better day when the day started off not so nicely.  I had been hoping to meet all the crew someday in Maryland.  I will meet you, dear Eric, when it is my time to go the my eternal home.  God bless and keep you in his tender care.
