Charles, fondly known as Chuck, was born to Orville and Joyce Mullett, on February 13, 1961, in Olean, New York. He was a talented athlete and entered into the U.S. Air Force after graduating from Landsdowne High School. Following his military service, he dedicated over 20 years of service to the Delaware State Police as a trooper and detective sergeant for the major crimes unit.
Chuck's loving spirit is carried on by his daughters, Lindsay Stevens, her partner Jacob Adams; and Kaleigh Hawkins, her husband Kevin; grandchildren Sophie, Nikolas, and Etienne; his sister Shannon Hutton, her husband Todd; his brother Lee Mullett; his brother Marvin Mullett, his wife Melinda; his beloved mother Joyce; and his several nieces and nephews who have adored him, as well as his ex-wife of 42 years, Sandra Mullett. Preceding him in peace were his father, Orville Mullett; his sister, Brenda Mullett; and his sister, Rita Neff.
Chuck was known for his generosity, unconditional kindness, and sharp wit. He was endeared by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. His daughters cherish their memories of fishing with him and his words of wisdom. He was also talented at woodworking and drawing.
His passion in life was caring for and spending time with animals. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in Chuck’s honor to First State Animal Center. Our family would also like the Bridegan Foundation, as well as the organization Shatterproof, to be considered for donations.
We will celebrate his life with a memorial service on July 20, 2024 at 1 o’clock at Robert E. Evans Funeral Home, 16000 Annapolis Road in Bowie, Maryland. Inurnment is private.
Rest in peace, dear Chuck. Your memory will live on in the hearts of all friends and family.
