She was born May 17, 1937 in Bronx, New York, the daughter of the late Max and Lucilla Daniels. She attended and graduated from Gompus in the Bronx, NY in 1953.
On January 17, 1959, she was united in marriage to Wilburn Hewlett in the Bronx, NY. To this union three children were born, Woody, Johnny, and Jerome.
Rose…. After many years of being a stay at home mom. She decided to go back to school once we were in High School. So off to Cape Cod Community College to become a Nurse. She worked at various hospitals and nursing homes finally becoming a Nursing Administrator for a Nursing home in Sagamore. Rose was very outgoing, participating in Softball as well as being an avid bowler in her day. She loved to shop for hours on end but most of all she loved going to Hawaii every year with her husband Will. It became their second home, relaxing, soaking up the sun and going to happy hour with their friends and many, many parties. Just living life to the fullest! She was a good friend to her friends and a great mother to her family.
To Rose life was life and you just take it as it goes .......
Preceding her in death were her parents, Max and Lucilla and her husband Will as well as her oldest son Woody of Orlando, FL.
Those left to cherish her memory are her remaining children; Johnny Hewlett and his wife Arelis of New York City, and Jerome Hewlett and his wife Leslie and daughter Justice of Issaquah, WA.
A mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday October 22nd at 10am, St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Parish, 841 Shore Rd. Pocasset, MA. Burial will follow at Massachusetts National Cemetery where Rose will be united once more with her beloved husband Wilburn.
