Donald Arthur Harrison

HARRISON, Donald Arthur 88, of Buzzards Bay, MA, passed away at Bourne Manor on Friday May 12, 2023 surrounded by his loving wife Catherine Margaret Harrison (Taylor) to whom shared 67 years of marriage.

Don was born to the late Raymond and Valerie Harrison (Paille) on March 3, 1935 in Attleboro, MA. He moved around a lot due to his father being in the Navy. He graduated high school from Great Mills in Maryland. He then joined the Air Force and served 24 years in the service including a tour in Vietnam. Don went on to work over 20 additional years in the Air Guard as a civilian at the PMEL (Precision Measurement Equipment Laboratory) and retiring as superintendent on Air Station Cape Cod.

Don is survived not only by his wife Catherine, but his three children; Karen Doble (Harrison) and husband John of Bourne MA, Donna Harrison Jumper and husband Stephen of Sandwich MA, and Steven Harrison and his wife Annmarie (Wallace) of Saugus MA. Don has four loving grandchildren; Lauri Margaret Young (Doble) , Brian John Doble, Peter Harrison Jumper and Kevin Arthur Jumper. Don was blessed with seven great grandchildren; Evelyn Doble, Claire Doble, Anna Doble, Hadley Young, Jillian Doble, Taylor Young, and Whitney Young. Don has his loving brother-in-law, John A.Taylor and sister-in-law Valeri I.Taylor as well as many nieces and nephews here in the states as well as in England and Australia. In addition he has loving aunts and many cousins. Donald’s two brothers Robert E. Harrison Sr and Raymond A. Harrison Jr., his in-laws Frank J. and Catherine W. Taylor (Whitney) , his four brother-in-laws Frank S. Taylor, Sydney J. Taylor, Kenneth G. Taylor and Geoff W.Taylor and his sister-in-law Ann Taylor who predeceased him.

A Funeral Service will be held on Friday May 19th 12:30pm at Nickerson-Bourne Funeral Home, 40 MacArthur Blvd. Bourne, MA. Burial will follow at Massachusetts National Cemetery, in Bourne. Visitation will be prior from 10:30-12:30pm.
