(Papa), the brother of the late Mario Berardi and his wife Wilma and the brother of the late Lillian Woodman and her husband John. After graduating from Canton High School, he joined the U.S. Air Force and served from 1961 to 1967. Following his military discharge, Tony attended Wentworth Technical School, completed his degree, and became a machinist at Ideal Instrument in Canton for 35 plus years. Tony enjoyed an active retirement on Cape Cod and cruising to places such as Cuba and Alaska. For Tony, each day was another opportunity to build, create, enhance, invent and learn. Approaching every hobby with enthusiasm and a sense of precision, he was a model boat builder, stamp and coin collector, and an avid gardener and landscaper. He also enjoyed disco dancing with Kathy. Tony’s latest passion was competitive marksman rifle shooting. He was a proud member of the Monument Beach Sportsman’s Club, Weymouth-Braintree Elks and Sagamore Rifle Club.
He loved being a grandfather to Anthony and Taylor. He enjoyed attending Anthony’s hockey games and Taylor’s dance recitals.
He is survived by his fiancé Kathleen Cristadoro of Sagamore Beach, and her children, Julie and Matthew, his daughter René Jackson and her husband Ronnie of Martha’s Vineyard, his grandchildren, Anthony and Taylor.
