Bob was born May 5, 1948 in Honolulu, Hawaii, the son of the late Col. Robert C. Rogers and Dollye Moore Rogers of Vernon, Texas. He was married to Beverly Ann Rogers on May 17, 1980 in Highlands, North Carolina. Prior to making Boulder their home, Bob and Bev lived in Atlanta, Georgia.
Bob retired from the University of Colorado Admissions Department in July of 2010. He was an avid poker player, world traveler, film connoisseur, and supporter of CU athletics. He graduated with a Masters degree in Medieval English History from the University of Northern Colorado and a Bachelors of Arts degree in History from Vanderbilt University in Tennessee.
Surviving are his wife, Beverly Ann Rogers of Boulder, his daughter, Kathryn Moore Rogers of Los Angeles, California, his sister, Pris Brutsche of Ft. Worth, Texas, his stepson Kenneth W. Gregory, and granddaughter, Becky Gregory of Greensboro, North Carolina.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorial service and reception are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 2, 2011, at Crist Mortuary in Boulder with the Rev. John R. Todd of Normandy, Tennessee, officiating. Interment will follow at a later date.
