Michael (Mike) Sean McKevitt passed away on May 12, 2023, at the age of 54, after a battle with cancer. Born on April 28, 1969 in Baltimore, Maryland, Mike spent his formative years in Boulder, Colorado where he met the love of his life, Angie Dawkins. Mike graduated from Boulder High School in 1987 and the University of Colorado in 1991. Mike and Angie married on August 29, 1993 and settled in Broomfield, Colorado where they raised their two children, Zack and Jay, and cultivated a loving, tight knit and fun community of friends.
Mike had a successful career in product management where he was known for his hard work, dedication and integrity. However, his greatest joy came from spending time with his family. He was a devoted husband, a loving father, a supportive brother and a doting uncle. Mike will be remembered as an avid hockey enthusiast, a tech connoisseur, a grill master and consummate host - always ensuring that a drink glass was never empty - a movie buff, and a loyal friend. But first and foremost, Mike will be remembered as a proud family man.
Despite his cancer diagnosis, Mike remained positive and hopeful throughout his treatment. He was a fighter who never lost his sense of humor. He continued to live life to the fullest and never let his illness define him.
Mike’s passing leaves a hole in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. He will be deeply missed by his wife, Angie; children, Zack and Jay; sister Kelly; brother Baird (Emily); mother-in-law, Audrey McVie, brother-in-law, Mark Dawkins; nephews Lane Wilson, Thomas, Peter and Graham McKevitt; niece Nell McKevitt; and his many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends with whom he kept in close contact despite cross country distances. Mike was predeceased by his mother, Barbara (Bobbi) McKevitt, his father Thomas (Tom) Lawrence McKevitt, Jr, and his father-in-Law, Barry Dawkins. Rest in peace, Mike, your legacy of love for your family and friends will be remembered, emulated and cherished.
