Donald Rosen (Betsy Rosen). Her love and pride in them was undeniable. Her beloved grandchildren Darren Mueller (Stephanie Westen), Dustin Rosen (Emily Rosen), Greg Rosen and Tracy Rosen who she loved with all her heart and soul. Her great granddaughter Alina Mueller was born this year completing the circle of her life.
Lin had a BS in Business from New York University and an MS in Education from Hofstra University. She was an elementary school teacher with a specialty in reading. She taught the secular 5th grade at the Hillel School in Lawrence, NY. She was committed to education for all children. This was a theme in her life.
Lin lived a life of service and was always a leader. She was proud of her Jewish heritage and served tirelessly in many organizations. She was president of her local American Jewish Congress chapter in New York, President of her local chapter of B'nai Brith in New York, President of her local Hadassah chapter in Ohio and both President and Regional President of her local ORT chapter in Florida. Lin received many awards from these organizations but the one she was most proud of was the Woman of Valor Award she received from ORT in 2011. Lin moved to Boulder in 2012 to begin yet another chapter of her life. She resided at Frasier Meadows where she has made her home for the past 5 years. She loved Boulder, the Frasier community and thrived here. She loved the mountains, the trees and the birds she could see from her apartment window. She was also an active participant in community life there. As one of her friends said " She never met anyone she didn't call a friend." Her family would like to thank the Frasier community and her friends here for being so welcoming and loving to our mom in her new life here. It's not easy to relocate an all of you made it possible for her to do so with ease.
A most heartfelt thank you from all of us to the care givers and staff at Frasier Meadows, Frasier Care, Dignity Care and Boulder Community Health for their loving care of our mother, grandmother and great-grandmother when she needed you the most. We would also like to thank the following people for supporting her spiritual life in Boulder. Bob Ritzen ( Frasier Meadows Chaplain and dear friend), David Bernstein and Lynn Nadel (Jewish Family Service Shabbat leaders at Frasier, who brought her connection and joy in their worship and friendship) and Debra Winter (Congregation HarHashem Better Together Youth Group for bringing her the connection with students who made her have hope for the future. As a teacher she so looked forward to this and seeing you.)
She loved all of you and considered you part of her family .
She will be missed by all whose lives she touched and by all those she helped. She was truly one of a kind. We will miss her so. May her memory be a blessing.
A memorial celebration of her life will be held Thursday November 17th at 10:30am in the Frasier Meadows Sky Lounge, 350 Ponca Place, Boulder.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Spiritual Life Fund at Frasier Meadows, The Para Chaplaincy Shabbat Program at Jewish Family Services Boulder, or the High School Youth Program at Congregation HarHashem, Boulder.
