Daniel graduated Boulder High School in Boulder CO in 1949. He was in the Marine Corp., and served during the Korean War. Subsequently, he worked as an engineer for IBM for 40 years, primarily in the Printer Division in Boulder, CO.
He was a patient and kind soul, meeting each person where that person was. Daniel coached Little League Baseball, helped his children with homework and repaired almost anything in his home, or those of loved ones.
Daniel’s love of music was a life-long pursuit, starting to play ukulele when he was just big enough to hold one, becoming a tri-state competition winning trumpet player in High School and mastering country and western guitar as an adult, often performing in nursing homes in his later years. He also loved dancing which is how he met his love, JoAnn.
Daniel leaves a legacy with everyone lucky enough to know him. He would want us to remember him relaxing, making music, and dancing cheek to cheek with JoAnn.
The Memorial Service will be held in Boulder, CO on Sunday, April 16, 2023 at 10:00AM. Donations can be made to the Gary Sinise Foundation, helping veterans and first responders.
