Dale is survived by his wife, Eleanor Ann Davis; his children, Kenneth Davis and his wife, Beverly, of Bellbrook, Ohio, Beverly Nusbaum of Boulder, Colorado, and Edward Davis and his wife, Tammy of Stillwater, Oklahoma; six grandchildren, Rachel Hill, Eric Nusbaum, Zachary Davis, Anna Saltar, Kelsey Davis, and Kyla Davis; 5 great-grandchildren, Lucas and Zander Hill and Adelyn, Eliana, and Malachi Davis. Dale is preceded in death by his parents and his brother John.
Dale was born on December 29, 1929 in Grand Blanc, Michigan to Marian Dixon and John Davis. He was an Army veteran who served in the Korean Conflict. He returned home and found the love of his life, Eleanor Ann Clark. They were married on July 10, 1954. He worked for IBM for 32 years. He was one of the first IBM engineers to relocate to Boulder in 1965 and remained there for his career.
Dale was accomplished at photography and taught his children to take and develop photos. Dale and his family enjoyed boating and owned a favorite boat named Seesaw. His family appreciated his skills as a television repairman. He retired from IBM and found joy in working around his house that they built in 1965, making improvements as needed. In his early 80s, he was still working on his own roof.
A graveside service is scheduled for Monday, April 16th at 11 a.m. at Mountain View Memorial Park. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Dale’s life.
